Wineskin Websites is a project of Wineskin Media, which is a small company that is owned and operated by Bill Powell. (That’s me over there.) I’ve been making websites professionally here at my own company for over ten years.
You can peruse my portfolio and testimonials on the home page – past clients include Ignatius Press and Christendom College, as well as the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, the Carmel of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and the Carmelite Monastery of the Infant of Prague.
Why Choose Wineskin for Your Website?
I specialize in helping small business, non-profits, and religious communities get the websites and service they need at an affordable price. Your budget and energy are limited — I leverage the best tools out there to get you the best results.
And I want to empower you. Today’s web software is simply amazing, and I believe anyone, even a “non-techie” can learn how to manage and update their own websites with a little help. You probably don’t need a full-time web person. My goal is to get you set up with you need to get started, then set you free to slowly craft your site as you wish. Of course, I’m always available if you need more help down the road.
A good website pays for itself; it provides far more value than it costs. But to get that success, you need more than just excellent software — you need real clarity on what you want your site to accomplish, and how that will happen. When you work with me, we won’t just talk software, we’ll talk about your goals, and how to make those goals into calls to action for your visitors.
What Does “Wineskin” Mean?
A wineskin is an ancient technology for carrying wine. (It’s a leather bag.) At Wineskin Websites, it’s an oblique reference to the Gospel idea that “new wine should go into fresh skins”. That’s my goal: to help you get the wine of your message into a fresh new website.
The Wineskin “Team”
Though I occasionally slip into the editorial “we”, Wineskin Websites and I are currently a one-man show. Technically.
In practice, my wife Beth provides invaluable feedback, particularly in suggestions for beautiful designs. Plus, I work closely with your hosting and support companies to ensure that you have a team, not just one person (however dedicated), supporting your website in the long term.
Beth and I have been blessed with several awesome children, and I am very, very grateful that running my own business allows me to spend so much more time with my family than I would otherwise with a lengthy commute. Thank you for helping to make this possible!
